About me

Oleksii Patrykieiev

My name is Oleksii Patrykieiev. I am 38 years old, and I come from Ukraine.

For the past 20 years, technology for me has been more than just lines of code or server work. It is my passion, my main hobby, and my lifestyle. During this time, I have gone from early experiments to creating WooCommerce online stores and deeply studying how people behave in a digital environment.

What I can do and what I live for:

  • Creating meanings and tools: I independently mastered WordPress and the development of online projects from scratch. For me, it is important not just to make a "website", but to create a working tool that solves a specific task.
  • One step ahead: I have gone from classic SEO to modern AEO technologies (optimization for AI engines). Now I am actively studying artificial intelligence because I believe: AI did not come into our lives to replace humans, but to make them better, more convenient, and more productive, freeing us from routine tasks and helping to unlock our potential.
  • Business experience: Working with small businesses, I learned the most important thing — to see how everyday processes can be "digitized" to make people's lives easier and more convenient.

Why am I doing this?

I am here, inside the camp, and I see everything happening with my own eyes. My 20 years of experience allow me to notice details that are not visible from the outside. I study people's behavior, their requests, and their fears. My goal is to apply all my knowledge to help others. I know how to find solutions where others see difficulties, and turn them into clear online projects.

Project LINK AI: Idea and concept

LINK AI is more than just a website or a directory. It is a smart digital ecosystem designed to become the "first friend" and a personal navigator for everyone who arrives at the camp.

What is this technically?

The project combines two powerful technologies:

  • PWA (Progressive Web App): This is a modern application format that doesn't need to be downloaded from app stores. A person simply needs to scan a QR code on the wall of the camp, and the application instantly appears on their phone.
  • AI Assistant (powered by Gemini): The "brain" of the system. It is a fully-fledged intelligence that understands natural speech in any language (Ukrainian, Arabic, English, Norwegian, etc.) and provides instant, accurate answers.

What is the main problem it solves?

The main problem of any large camp is the information vacuum and communication barrier.

  • For the resident: In a state of stress, a person doesn't know the rules, doesn't understand the language, and is afraid to ask for directions to the cafeteria or the laundry schedule once again.
  • For the staff: The staff spends a huge amount of time on the exact same basic questions. This leads to frustration among visitors due to the language barrier and exhausts the employees, distracting them from their direct duties.

Core of the project: LINK AI removes this barrier by transferring all knowledge about the camp to artificial intelligence.

Value for residents (New arrivals)

Visual navigation LINK AI

Arrival at the reception center is a moment of maximum stress. Surrounded by hundreds of strangers and signs in a foreign language, even the question "Where can I get water?" becomes a difficult task.

How the project helps people:

Removing the "first step barrier":

The AI assistant is a patient conversationalist whom you can ask any everyday question at any time of the day without feeling awkward. This restores a person's sense of control.

Visual navigation:

The bot doesn't just give text; it sends a real photo of the right door and a link to the map. The person immediately sees the landmark and confidently walks to their goal.

Native language:

The AI understands the cultural context and responds in the native language, providing a sense of safety and understanding.

24/7 Support:

Questions also arise at night when the administration is unavailable. The AI will instantly tell you where to get diapers or why the power went out.

Benefits for Link AS

The project turns technology into real economic and operational benefits:

Optimizing working time (Staff Relief)

Automating answers to routine questions frees up staff to solve critical tasks that require human involvement.

Service standardization

Residents receive accurate information instantly, regardless of the staff's workload or time of day.

Risk reduction

Awareness reduces stress and aggression levels, which directly affects safety in the center.

Data analytics

The project allows you to see a "heatmap" of requests, helping management make decisions based on real data.

05

Current working prototype (MVP)

This is a working product, created in just a few hours from idea to implementation. Currently, the system is operating at 4–7% of its capacity.

What is already working today:

  • Functional PWA app: The website link.axi.so is ready to be installed on smartphones and feels like a fully-fledged app.
  • AI Integration: The chatbot understands the context and answers questions based on the loaded database.
  • Knowledge Base (Start): Data on the cafeteria, laundry, and basic rules have been entered. Support for other languages is being added in the shortest possible time.
  • Custom development: Runs on my custom WordPress plugin, which gives full flexibility in configuring the logic for a specific camp.
  • Ease of updating: Changing schedules or rules takes only a few minutes.

Development vector (Roadmap)

Based on modern technologies, I envision the following stages of development:

Smart Push Notifications

Instant information about meetings with UDI, lectures, trips, and other activities.

Interactive plans

The user sees their location on the map inside the building and the route to the desired room.

Digital technical support

The ability to send a photo of a malfunction (faucet, lock) directly to the technicians.

Social integration

Interest-based chats for organizing leisure activities (football, hiking, learning).

Analytical center

Collection of statistics on all requests to optimize the center's operations in real time.

Personal profile

Profiles for informing about document status and personal meetings.

07

Global vision (Scalability)

This is a flexible platform for the entire network of Link AS camps in Norway:

Unified ecosystem:

The ability to deploy a digital copy for any reception center in a matter of days.

Centralized management:

Updating critical information for the entire network with one click from the head office.

Seamless relocation:

When moving to another Link center, the app automatically switches to the new database, accelerating the resident's adaptation.

Cloud analytics:

Collecting data on refugee needs nationwide to improve integration methods.

My motivation and mission

This project was born out of a personal desire to help those who have lost their homes and find themselves in uncertainty.

Why I did this:

  • Help from human to human: My goal is for technology to help people take their first steps in Norway easier and with more dignity.
  • Path to adaptation: I am 38 years old, and I am starting from a clean slate. I want to adapt, create a cozy home for my family, and show my professional skills in action.
  • An idea as a gift: I do not pursue selfish goals and do not demand copyrights. If the project helps Link AS — use it, I will be happy to be of service.
  • Professional footprint: I will be grateful if my file includes a note about my competencies as an IT specialist.
  • Contribution "here and now": While I am in the center, I hope to bring the product to 10% capacity as a token of gratitude for the shelter provided.
  • Future horizons: In the next stage, I plan to create an app for learning the Norwegian language based on personal integration experience.
My mission is simple: to remain useful to society and my family, using my experience to create.
