Stress reduction, rapid visual navigation through the camp, and native language support 24/7.
A brief overview of my background, skills, and why I understand the needs of the camp residents from the inside.
What kind of product is this? (PWA app + AI assistant) and the main communication problem it solves.
Stress reduction, fast visual navigation in the camp, and native language support 24/7.
Relieving staff from routine questions (saving time), improving service quality.
Demonstration of what is already built and working right now (the initial 5% of capabilities).
Integration of new features: push notifications, building plans, photo reports, chats, analytics.
Creating a unified, highly adaptable ecosystem for all reception centers managed by Link.
Why I started this project on my own initiative.
My name is Oleksii Patrykieiev. I am 38 years old, and I come from Ukraine.
For the past 20 years, technology for me has been more than just lines of code or server work. It is my passion, my main hobby, and my lifestyle. During this time, I have gone from early experiments to creating WooCommerce online stores and deeply studying how people behave in a digital environment.
I am here, inside the camp, and I see everything happening with my own eyes. My 20 years of experience allow me to notice details that are not visible from the outside. I study people's behavior, their requests, and their fears. My goal is to apply all my knowledge to help others. I know how to find solutions where others see difficulties, and turn them into clear online projects.
LINK AI is more than just a website or a directory. It is a smart digital ecosystem designed to become the "first friend" and a personal navigator for everyone who arrives at the camp.
The project combines two powerful technologies:
The main problem of any large camp is the information vacuum and communication barrier.
Core of the project: LINK AI removes this barrier by transferring all knowledge about the camp to artificial intelligence.
Arrival at the reception center is a moment of maximum stress. Surrounded by hundreds of strangers and signs in a foreign language, even the question "Where can I get water?" becomes a difficult task.
The AI assistant is a patient conversationalist whom you can ask any everyday question at any time of the day without feeling awkward. This restores a person's sense of control.
The bot doesn't just give text; it sends a real photo of the right door and a link to the map. The person immediately sees the landmark and confidently walks to their goal.
The AI understands the cultural context and responds in the native language, providing a sense of safety and understanding.
Questions also arise at night when the administration is unavailable. The AI will instantly tell you where to get diapers or why the power went out.
The project turns technology into real economic and operational benefits:
Automating answers to routine questions frees up staff to solve critical tasks that require human involvement.
Residents receive accurate information instantly, regardless of the staff's workload or time of day.
Awareness reduces stress and aggression levels, which directly affects safety in the center.
The project allows you to see a "heatmap" of requests, helping management make decisions based on real data.
This is a working product, created in just a few hours from idea to implementation. Currently, the system is operating at 4–7% of its capacity.
Based on modern technologies, I envision the following stages of development:
Instant information about meetings with UDI, lectures, trips, and other activities.
The user sees their location on the map inside the building and the route to the desired room.
The ability to send a photo of a malfunction (faucet, lock) directly to the technicians.
Interest-based chats for organizing leisure activities (football, hiking, learning).
Collection of statistics on all requests to optimize the center's operations in real time.
Profiles for informing about document status and personal meetings.
This is a flexible platform for the entire network of Link AS camps in Norway:
The ability to deploy a digital copy for any reception center in a matter of days.
Updating critical information for the entire network with one click from the head office.
When moving to another Link center, the app automatically switches to the new database, accelerating the resident's adaptation.
Collecting data on refugee needs nationwide to improve integration methods.
This project was born out of a personal desire to help those who have lost their homes and find themselves in uncertainty.
